Courses for International Students of University Partner Programmes (Global Exchange/ERASMUS/IES/AYF)

Overview

 

The course of the winter semester 2021/22 will be held ONLINE due to the corona pandemic.

Admission Criteria

In order to participate in the free P-courses you will have to meet the following requirements:

  • You are enrolled at the University of Freiburg as an exchange student on one of the following university parnter programmes: Global Exchange/ERASMUS/IES/AYF
  • You register for

max. 1 language class (max. 8 ECTS) per semester
max. 3 regional studies classes (max. 4 ECTS / course) per semester.

  • You register only for courses corresponding to your language level.
  • You attend the first two sessions.
  • Important: Participants who are on the waiting list should also come to the first two sessions.

  • You attend the class regularly.
  • You must have a A2 or higher (CEFR) language level if you want to register for regional studies classes.

Self-Assessment

We do not offer a placement test before the start of the course. If you have chosen a course at the wrong level, we can NOT guarantee that you will be able to switch to a more appropriate group. Please make sure that you choose the right course level by assessing your language profiency BEFORE registering:

Criteria for a Certificate
  • You must attend regularly.
  • You may not miss more than a certain number of classes (Summer term: max 2 sessions, winter term: max 2 sessions).
  • If you need a grade for a class, you have to fulfill all course requirements (e.g. oral presentation, written exam, etc.).

 

ECTS-Credits
  • You can receive a maximum of 4 ECTS-Credits for a course with 2 hours per week (SWS).
  • Certificate of attendance: regular attendance, max. 2 ECTS
  • Graded certificate: regular attendance, course-specific requirements, max. 4 ECTS

 

Transcript of Records
  • The registration for pass/fail courses is made in HISinOne (current registration data and further information can be found on the ILIAS learning platform).
