International Courses - German Language & Content and Training courses 2025

The Language Teaching Centre, SLI (Sprachlehrinstitut) is part of the Faculty of Philology of the University of Freiburg. The SLI offers courses in more than 20 languages and guarantees standardized internationally-recognized certification according to the European Framework of Reference for languages (CEFR).

Intensive and short-program courses for students, professionals and university staff members are also part of the SLI´s course offer.

The SLI also organizes language courses in the field of profession-oriented skills (BOK) at the University of Freiburg.

In addition, the SLI offers conversation courses, courses for special purposes, tailor-made courses and preparatory courses for language examinations.

Courses take place in the morning between 9 am - 12:30 pm
IMPORTANT! April 22 - May 2 and May 19 - 30: courses in these time periods take place between 8:45 am - 1 pm
There will be no courses on May 1 and May 29 (public holidays)
