Foreign language learning at the Sprachlehrinstitut (SLI) of Freiburg University
The Sprachlehrinstitut (Language Teaching Centre) is in charge of organising and conceptualising the entire programme of language courses for students from all faculties on behalf of the Faculties of Philology and Philosophy. In addition, the SLI offers subject-specific courses for students from varying faculties as well as “tailor-made” courses on request.
Against the backdrop of shrinking distances in Europe and ongoing globalisation, a sound knowledge of foreign languages is now undeniably an essential requirement for university education and working life.
In order to meet these new challenges, our course programme includes both European and non-European languages.
Small classes under expert guidance provided by motivated and committed teachers ensure a successful and enjoyable learning experience.
