Language class (J. Strohhäcker)

Study Programme
Language Class in the morning

The language course takes place from Monday to Friday in the mornings. Each morning there are 4 teaching units (45 minutes each).

The learning methods are quite versatile: a variety of conversation exercises and discussions, current listening and reading texts combined with modern task-based grammar training – this way you can deepen and expand your oral and written German skills. Under the expert guidance of our qualified and experienced teachers, you can fully immerse yourself in a German-speaking culture. Specific study techniques such as reading strategies and presentation skills will also be practised. The lessons follow the aims of communicative competence of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) in an entertaining and inspiring way and will assist your independent learning process.

Exercise Courses and Seminars in the afternoon

Depending on your language level, you are welcome to attend exercise courses and seminars which examine different current issues, e.g. in the areas of cultural and social sciences, regional studies, literature, politics, history and economics. Participation is optional. The detailed programme will be provided shortly before the start of the course.

Language Laboratory

In our digitalised language laboratory (Sprachlabor), students can use self-study materials for individual practice of listening comprehension, grammar and pronunciation by choosing from a wide range of audio material and online exercises.

Certificate and ECTS Credits
Zeugnis SWU Muster

A graded certificate will be issued to all participants at the end of the course.
It will include your individual language level following the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) as well as your ECTS credits European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS)
