Languages Info Store

The collection of language learning material is registered in our Languages Info Store. A cataloguing system serves as a support in finding the right language learning materials. Amongst other things it gives details about the sort of language material available, and about skills and exercise types, and in part describes each media form in detail.

Language learning material for computer based language learning is available for Catalan, Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Latin, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Sardinien, Spanish and Swedish. There are language learning materials on audio cassettes for more than 50 languages.

The signatory is important when choosing learning materials or borrowing the respective media form (Abc 1234). This consists of a shortened word for the language and a four digit number, whereby the first digit stands for the type of language material (complete course, grammar, intonation, listening comprehension etc.)

1. Signatory
The single components of the language material are designated by a SIGNATORY, which is needed by the SUPERVISERS in order to borrow material. This signatory is composed of an INDEX for the language:

Second digit = consecutive numbering of the courses
Third and fourth digit = consecutive numbering of the audio cassettes (band number)

There is only a limited supply of written backup material (such as teacher’s book, work book or similar).
